FIRS Boss Makes Case for Nigerians Over Tax Payment

The Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, has said citizens have every right to demand accountability from government on their taxes.

FIRS Executive Chairman, Muhammad Nami, made this known during the unveiling of the Service Charter in Abuja.

Nami, who noted that the right to make such a demand is subject to compliance with tax obligations, called on citizens to be fair to the government by paying their taxes.

The Chairman appealed to government at all levels to give value to citizens for the money they pay as taxes.
