NCDC Warns of High Risk of Ebola in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, NCDC, has announced that Nigeria’s risk of having an Ebola outbreak is high.

The Centre announced this as Uganda continues to grapple with an outbreak of the deadly disease.

However, the NCDC assured that Nigeria was equipped to react effectively to an outbreak.

It added that this is exemplified by the Centre’s successful response to the Ebola outbreak in 2014, as well as improvements in its capacity for health emergency response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
