NGF to Partner Health Commissioners on Healthcare Financing

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Health commissioners’ are partnering to host the first collaborative event that will focus on Primary Health Care financing.

Chairperson of the Commissioners, Oyebanji Filani, stated that the maiden event would deliver on approaches to financing PHC in states.

Filani noted that the event will also identify common challenges and policy responses, and to develop a shared understanding on the way forward for financing PHC comprehensively and sustainably.

The commissioner added that high-performing health systems recognize the importance of having an effective PHC service as a key driver of achieving universal health coverage UHC.
