The Federal Government has approved the promotion of 2,382 officers of the Federal Fire Service.
A statement issued by the Controller General of the Service, Jaji Abdulganiyu, announced the promotion and advancement of the officers.
The statement congratulated the officers, and commended the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and other members, for their roles in upgrading the officers.
It urged the officers to put in their best to justify the promotion.
Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has ordered the immediate sack of contractors handling environmental cleanliness in the state. Umahi announced the sack in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Environment, Richard Nnabu.
