Lagos Government Urge Residents to Enroll in Health Insurance Scheme

Lagos State government has urged residents of the State to enroll in the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme in order to have greater access to universal health coverage.

According to a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, noted that the mega promo is one of the creative ideas of the State Health Management Agency to stimulate residents’ interest in health insurance.

The statement commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support and commitment to ensuring that residents of the State have more access to affordable and quality healthcare.

Bayelsa Government Confirms Case of Monkey Pox

Bayelsa State Government has said the State has recorded 13 confirmed cases of Monkeypox disease. State Director of Public Health, Ministry of Health, Jones Stow, who disclosed this, said the confirmed cases were among the 50 samples that were sent for laboratory test. Stow revealed that the government has mobilized Medical Surveillance teams to carry out active search in order to mitigate the spread of the infection.
