Immigration Service Implements Appointment Based Entry

The Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, has announced the implementation of appointment-based entry into passport offices.

Comptroller General of NIS, Idris Jere, who was represented by the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of passport, Modupe Anyalichi, announced the policy at a workshop for officers and men of the Provost and Servicom Units of NIS Zone A Lagos state.

Jere warned officers to stop extortion and sharp practices in the processing of passports.

The NIS chief directed personnel working in passport offices to maintain a high level of discipline and professionalism in their conduct.
