The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has said it has created an additional 1,607 Polling Units in Oyo State.
State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mutiu Agboke made the disclosures while addressing newsmen during a valedictory programme held in Ibadan, the State Capital.
According to Agboke, the Polling Units were created to allow more eligible voters exercise their franchise during the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has commended the Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya for the choice of the State to mark this year’s Edition of the Army Day Celebration. Uzodinma gave the commendation while speaking at a lecture to commemorate the event in Owerri, the State Capital. Speaking further, he assures of government collaboration with all Security Agencies. The Governor, however, harps on the need to be united.
