Lawmaker Warns Against Increment of Allowances of Public Officers

The member representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Onofiok Luke has warned his colleagues not to consider increment of allowances of Public Officers.

Luke stated this on Thursday during a debate on a motion to address the working conditions of Judicial Officers.

The Lawmaker, however, prayed that the House should urge the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, to review the salaries of Judicial Officers.

Recall that 14 Justices of the Supreme Court had protested over poor working conditions.
