Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday conducted its primaries for House of Assembly, House of Representatives and the Senate.
National Coordinating Chairman of the Primaries, Ameachi Ononwu, announced the winners yesterday in Owerri, the state capital.
Some of the candidates that emerged are Former Lawmaker, Obinna Onwubuariri candidate for Okigwe North federal Constituency, Emma Okewuluonu Okigwe zone,
Kingsley Uju, Ohaji Egbema and Oru West State Constituency, Ugonna Ozuruigbo Nkwere, Nwangele, Isu, Njaba Federal Constituency, and Uche Onyeagucha Imo east senatorial zone.
The All Progressives Congress, APC has held its Governorship Primaries across States in the Country. The Primaries which took place on Thursday produced winners in several States. LAGOS Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged winner for securing 1,182 votes out of 1,198 after two other aspirants were not cleared for the primary.
