Archbishop of Canterbury condemns Deborah’s killing

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has condemned the killing of Deborah Yakubu for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad.

Welby, who is the symbolic head of the worldwide Anglican Communion, disclosed this in a series of tweets.

He noted that it was disappointing that people were still killing in the name of God.

The Archbishop called on the Nigerian government to ensure that religious rights are protected.

Police Confirm Attack On Abuja Kaduna Road

The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed that bandits’ attacked the Kaduna-Abuja road and abducted unspecified number of road users. A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Muhammed Jalige disclosed that the commission has expressed sadness over the incident. According to the statement, the number of victims abducted is yet to be ascertained.
