The University Unions have said they did not reach an agreement with the Federal Government that can lead to calling off the industrial actions.

According to a statement jointly signed by the national leaders of the Unions, the Federal Government and all stakeholders in the education sector had a meeting with the unions but no strong agreement was reached.

The unions embarked on industrial actions while demanding improved welfare packages, better working conditions and implementation of various labor agreements signed with the Federal Government between 2009 and 2020.
