Presidency Respond to Call for Buhari’s Extension in Office

The Presidency has said the transfer of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to another democratically elected Leader on May 29, 2023, remained sacrosanct.

A statement issued by the Presidential Spokesperson, Garba Shehu noted that Buhari is committed to ensuring a proper democratic transfer of power.

The statement was made in response to the comments made by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Robert Clarke who had asked the President to extend his term by six months.
