Gbajabiamila calls for voter enlightenment

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has stressed that voter education would help increase the participation of Nigerians in the 2023 general elections.

A statement issued by his Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, stressed the need to reform campaign finance laws.

The statement proposed amendments to the constitution and the Electoral Act to regulate political spending and impose sanctions.

It added that the amendment will enhance citizen participation and ensure that the nation’s diversity is reflected in the composition of its political actors.

APC yet to Zone Presidential Ticket

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has said it is yet to determine where it would zone its presidential ticket. The party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja.
