Senate Passes Bill Seeking to Establish Defense Research Bureau

The Senate has passed a bill that seeks to establish a Defense Research and Development Bureau in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The motion was moved by the Majority Leader of the Senate, Yahaya Abdullahi.
Abdullahi noted that the bill seeks to initiate new scientific, technological and environmental research on defense matters.

The lawmaker added that the bill also seeks to facilitate collaboration with other national and international institutions in the promotion of science and technology relating to defense.
