Court reminds Yahaya Bello and Two others in EFCC custody

The Judge of the Federal High Court (FCT) Justice Maryann Anenih has set December 10 for ruling on the bail applications by former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello and two others.

She set the date after the arguments against Bello’s bail from his counsel, Joseph Bodunde Dauda and Kemi Pinheiro of the Economic and Financial Crimes advocated with the court to accept the formal governor’s bail.

The top lawyer stated that the lawyer presumes him innocent until proven otherwise by the anti-graft agency. would not meddle with witnesses or exhibits because the EFCC had already conducted the investigation and filed charges against the defendants.

The Judge ordered that the three defendants should remain in EFCC custody until the rulings are delivered.
