Italy Mora, Panama’s representative at the Miss Universe competition, has been disqualified just hours before the grand finale set to hold on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Mexico.

While official reasons remain unclear, reports suggest her dismissal followed an alleged unauthorized visit to her boyfriend, Juan Abadia’s hotel room.

Mora, however, refuted the claim, stating her expulsion resulted from a heated argument with Miss Universe Panama director, Cesar Anel Rodriguez, over poor event organization.

She alleged her boyfriend, present during the dispute, revealed that he had covered her expenses, including a $7,000 Carolina Herrera dress, due to neglect from the organizers as the controversy escalated when pageant staff reportedly found Mora with her boyfriend, fueling the allegations.
