Ex-Man City teammates who helped him pay bills after being charged with rape

Former Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy has revealed that former teammates, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, and Riyad Mahrez assisted him to pay legal fees and child support after being charged with rape.

Recall Mendy was charged with committing sexual offenses in 2023 after he was arrested in 2020. He was eventually acquitted of all charges related to two counts of rape and one of attempted rape.

The Frenchman was then released by Man City at the end of the 2022-23 season following the expiry of his contract.
