The deliberations on state policing at the National Executive Council (NEC) yesterday, strongly indicates that it may soon come on stream nationwide.

Vice President Kashim Shettima who chaired the deliberations however, mandated four states which are yet to submit their input to do so, on or before next week Monday.

Lawal Adebayo who revealed this to newsmen at the presidency on Wednesday added that NEC has given those states until September 9 to do the needful or all agreements will be binding on them.

Recall that there had been clamour for the creation of state policing to mitigate the impact of insecurity in almost all regions of the country.
