CAF interclub draws in Cairo

Nigeria’s representatives, Rangers and Remo Stars, have learned their opponents in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League following Thursday’s draw at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
NPFL champions Rangers will face US Zilimadjou of Comoros, with a potential second-round match against the winner of St Louis of Mauritius and Angola’s GDSE.
Remo Stars on the other hand will compete against Morocco’s AS FAR, and if successful, will face either Sudan’s El Merreikh or a Libyan team in the second preliminary round.
The first leg matches are scheduled for 16-18 August, with the second leg set for 23-25 August.
