Famous Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has revealed what inspired her to produce her debut movie titled ‘Water and Garri’,.
The 44-year-old singer while speaking with CNN’s Larry Madowo on the latest episode of African Voices Changemakers, stated that she produced the film to tell African stories through the female perspective.
The movie, directed by Meji Alabi, tells the story of Aisha, a driven fashion designer who returns to her homeland after a decade in the US following a family tragedy.
The movie star featured several film stars like Jemima Osunde, Mike Afolarin, and Andrew Bunting.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) has arrested over 200 suspects in connection with foreign exchange scams and manipulation of the financial markets.
