Many homeless as rainstorm destroys 30 houses in Bauchi

A recent rainstorm has wreaked havoc in the Waptan community of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area in Bauchi State, leaving many residents homeless.
A legislative aide to the lawmaker representing Lere-Bula in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Saminu Abubakar, who confirmed the incident assured that the affected houses have been identified and that measures will be taken to assist the victims.
He further assured the residents of timely assistance to repair their homes before the full onset of this year’s rainy season.
