FG Promises Smooth, Safe Train Operation in South South, South East

The Federal Government has pledged to ensure smooth train operations in the South South and South Eastern regions of Nigeria, promising adequate security for users along the rail lines in these areas.
This assurance comes as the government kicks off train services on the first phase of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Rail line, starting from Port Harcourt to Aba in Abia State.
At the commissioning ceremony in Port Harcourt, Minister of Transportation, Said Alkali, highlighted the successful testing of locomotives, expressing confidence in the reliability of the rail service.
The Eastern Corridor Narrow Gauge Line, spanning five geopolitical zones, marks a significant milestone in Bola Tinubu’s Administration’s efforts to enhance transportation infrastructure nationwide.
