A concerned resident of Enugu State, Nnamdi Odo has called on the governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah to urgently intervene in the case of a female nurse, Ogbonna Blessing, a female nurse who was brutalised by masquerades on her way to work  in Nsukka area of Enugu State.
The development has since attracted outrage and in an open letter to Mbah, titled: “Urgent Intervention Needed to Address Brutality in Nsukka Local Government Area”, Odo stated that Blessing’s case was just one out of many others.
He condemned the appalling act of violence against the innocent nurse as not only a grave violation of human rights but also a clear indication of the breakdown of law and order in our community.
In his letter, he urged the Governor to take immediate and decisive action to investigate this incident thoroughly and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice swiftly.
