NSCDC seeks Army’s partnership in securing critical national assets

The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Thursday solicited for more support from the Nigerian Army to protect critical national assets in the state.
The NSCDC Commandant, Olatunde Maku, who made the call when he visited Col. Mohammed Abubakar, Commander, 302 Artillery Regiment Nigerian Army, Onitsha, said that the corps’ relationship with the Army had been profitable.
The commandant explained that inter agency collaboration would help to rid the state of practices inimical to economic growth and development.
The Nigerian Army is also a supportive partner to NSCDC in the areas of training and retraining of the corps personnel, joint operations, fight against illegal oil bunkering, pipeline vandalism, illegal oil refining and petroleum black market racketeering.
