Rivers Government closes hospital for operating outside the law and plans to prosecute owner

The Rivers State Government has taken swift action by shutting down an illegal hospital in Port Harcourt.
The Divine Love Hospital, located at Rumuodara axis of Okporo road, was found to be operating without proper authorization from the state’s health authorities.
The Director of Medical Services, Wachukwu Vincent, expressed shock at discovering a deceased patient who underwent an appendectomy in what he described as an unsuitable environment for medical care.
Dr. Vincent emphasized the state government’s commitment to the health and safety of its citizens, promising to prosecute the hospital’s owner, identified as Cornelius Alozie, and in the same vein anounced the forthcoming inauguration of an anti-quackery committee to crack down on similar illegal facilities across the state.
