The Imo Police Command has captured a crucial suspect linked to the tragic November 2023 assault, which resulted in the loss of a Divisional Police Officer and an Inspector of Police. Identified as Chidebere Nwuzor, aged 38, the suspect purportedly served as the driver of the operation vehicle during the heinous incident.
The apprehension unfolded on Monday following a fierce exchange of gunfire at a hideout situated in Amauze, within the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the State. According to Henry Okoye, the Command’s spokesperson, Nwuzor’s arrest occurred on April 8, marking a significant milestone in the investigation.
Okoye further disclosed that Nwuzor had long been sought by the Command for his involvement in a string of terrorist activities alongside other criminal collaborators within the state.
