Minister of Works, David Umahi announced that the contractor responsible for the Carter Bridge repairs have received a mobilization sum of N7 billion.
This update came during the minister’s inspection tour of major bridges connecting Lagos Mainland to Victoria Island, including ongoing works on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
The entire project, managed by Julius Berger, carries a total cost of N25 billion.
Umahi commended progress on the first phase of the 3rd Mainland Bridge rehabilitation, signaling the government’s commitment to comprehensive repairs across Lagos bridges.
Umahi expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration’s capability to address challenges effectively.
