Abia State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the State’s ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs to withdraw the staff of office and certificate of recognition issued Samuel Nwosu and issue a certificate of recognition to Eze Ikedichi Uzoeji, as Ugwumba of Nneji autonomous community.
Announcing the decision as recommended by its committee on local government and chieftaincy affairs, the Speaker, Emmanuel Emeruwa further said the House called for the reversal of the actions of the former Permanent Secretary of the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs, J.C Nwanju.
The House also resolved to communicate to the Governor Alex Otti about the alleged act of insubordination by some appointees of government, who ignore or decline invitations by the House and its Committees, urging him to call them to order as the House would no longer condone such behaviours.
