Omeruo takes decision on retiring after AFCON

Super Eagles centre-back, Kenneth Omeruo, has ruled out any possibility of retiring from international football following the just-concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old was a bit-part player for the Super Eagles at the AFCON with head coach Jose Peseiro sticking with a back three consisting Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi.
Omeruo managed to make five appearances during the AFCON
The former Chelsea player only start one game which came against Guinea-Bissau.
Omeruo, alongside Ahmed Musa are the two longest-serving players in the current Super Eagles squad being a pair that won the 2013 AFCON with the Super Eagles.
However, when asked about his plans for the future, Omeruo made it clear that he is not calling time on his international career anytime soon adding that he would be available when called upon.
