Unpqinted, non-registered taxicabs will no longer operate in FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that the FCT Administration is putting structures in place that would ensure that only registered taxis painted in Abuja colours are allowed to operate in the FCT.
Wike stated this on Wednesday during a meeting with traditional rulers and area council chairmen in Abuja.
The minister added that the FCTA will also provide bus terminals for various routes in the FCT, which will serve as the operational base for registered buses and taxis in the FCT.
According to him, this is in a bid to curtail insecurity in the state.
