Anambra NSCDC arrests seven for operating illegal security firms

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra State have arrested seven persons for illegal provision of security services and parading themselves as private security guards.
Following a press statement released by the state’s NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Okadigbo Edwin, on Monday, He revealed that all the arrested guards are currently assisting the command in an investigation, after which they would be arraigned in court for prosecution.
Speaking further Okadigbo added that the state commandant has cautioned companies and individuals in the state to desist from establishing a private guard company without following due process.
