FIFA Chief Condemns Attack on Turkish Football Referee

The FIFA chief, Gianni Infantino on Tuesday, called the attack on a Turkish football referee by the president of top-flight club Ankaragucu totally unacceptable.
The Turkish football federation suspended all leagues indefinitely after the referee Halil Umut Meler was punched by Ankaragucu president, Faruk Koca after Monday’s 1-1 draw with Caykur Rizespor.
Infantino condemned the attack in a statement on social media.
A court has placed Koca and two others in pre-trial detention for injuring and threatening a public official.

South African Afro-pop singer, Bulelwa Mkutukana, popularly known as Zahara is dead. The award-winning singer, who was hospitalized, died on Monday night after reported liver complications. She had been in a Johannesburg hospital, with liver complications. Zahara, who had so far released five albums, was named BBC’s 100 Women list in 2020.
