The House of Representatives, has on Thursday, summoned controversial singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, to appear before the house, in a bid to secure the musical rights of the works of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The House Committee on Justice, Youth and Legislative Compliance, also invited Mohbad’s manager, Jiggy Adeoye, to appear on October 31.
The House resolution followed the adoption of a motion moved by Babajimi Benson, the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos State on Thursday.
Recall that Mohbad, a former signee in Naira Marley’s record label, died on September 12, 2023, in controversial circumstances.
Former Chinese premier Li Keqiang, who was once tipped as the country’s future leader has died on Friday. He dies at the of 68 years. According to report from the state news agency, Xinhua said he had a heart attack on Thursday and passed away in Shanghai just after midnight. China’s foreign ministry said it deeply mourned Li’s tragic passing.
