Afghanistan Hit by Earthquake

Afghanistan has been hit by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake, shaking parts of the western region previously affected by the Herat Earthquake.

The earthquake which occurred in Herat on Wednesday morning was confirmed and made known by the World Health Organisation country office in Afghanistan via its X handle.

However, the apex health organisation added that medical experts were on the ground to help the injured get medical assistance.

The WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in his reaction, while consoling those who lost their loved ones in the Herat earthquakes assured that the organisation would continue to support the people of the country with medical care.
