Barcelona Beats Royal Antwerp 5-0

At the Estadio Olympic, Barcelona opened this season’s UEFA Champions League with a convincing 5-0 victory over Belgian club Royal Antwerp with two goals from Joao Felix.

Xavi’s team led by three goals after only 23 minutes, with goals from Joao Felix, Robert Lewandowski, and an own goal from Jelle Bataille.

Gavi added a fourth goal before Felix got his second after the break to give Barca’s campaign the perfect start.

The La Liga champions were eliminated in the group stage of their last two Champions League campaigns.

A 12-year-old boy Adebola Akin-Bright, with missing intestine in Lagos state, is dead. The mother, Abiodun Deborah disclosed this on Tuesday.
