Civil Servants Embark on Strike in Abia

Civil servants in Abia State have embarked on industrial action, in line with the directive of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

NLC Chairman in the State, Paschal Nweke stated that workers would remain at home until they received salary alerts for their services.

Nweke noted that NLC strike enforcement team were monitoring to ensure compliance by workers.

The enforcement team placed banners and flags on some government offices to indicate the ongoing strike.
