IMSU Suspends Lecturer Over Alleged Assault

Imo State University has suspended one of its lecturers, Desmond Izunwanne, for allegedly slapping female students.

A statement issued by the spokesperson for the Institution, Ralph Njokuobi, revealed that the university approved the immediate suspension of the lecturer till further notice.

The statement described the lecturer’s action as barbaric and unbecoming.

It added that a three-man disciplinary committee was constituted to unravel the immediate and remote causes that led to his uncouth behavior.
