Ethiopian Government Open Talks with Rebel Group

Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed has said his government had opened talks with a rebel group active in the Oromia region, Oromo Liberation Army.

Ahmed noted that negotiation with Oromo liberation army, will start a day after tomorrow in Tanzania.

He added that Ethiopian government and people are in deep need of this negotiation process.

The Prime Minister, who gave no further details on the format and mediators of the talks, called on all parties to remember that the country benefits nothing from war.
