NRC Generates N715.09 million in Revenue

The Nigerian Railway Corporation generated N715.09 million in revenue from passengers in Q3 of 2022.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the figure dropped by 60.52 per cent compared to the N1.81 billion received in Q3 of 2021.

Similarly, it showed that N101.84 million was collected in Q3 2022 as revenue from goods/ cargos, this dropped by 7.04 per cent from N109.56 million received in Q3 2021.

Tunisian Police Detain Opposition Leader

Tunisian police have detained opposition leader Rached Ghannouchi. According to his party officials, Police raided Ghannouchi’s house on Monday evening, carrying out a search before taking him to an unknown destination. Ghannouchi has already faced repeated rounds of judicial questioning over the past year on charges relating to Ennahda’s finances and allegations it enabled Tunisians to leave the North African country and join ISIL.
