Cross River State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has deployed at least 2,670 personnel across the state ahead of Saturday’s election.

The State Commandant, Samuel Fadeyi, said the move was to provide adequate security during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Fadeyi noted that the personnel would work in synergy with other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free exercise, adding that all the personnel had been well-sensitized on the Electoral Act.

The Commandant, therefore, cautioned residents against acts of violence during the election.
