INEC Promises to Pay Allowances to Corps Members

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has assured that the Corps members that participated in the presidential and National Assembly elections will be paid their allowances.

Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, said the funds were already with its state offices, and urged corps members to be patient with the entire process.

In a social media post, a corps member complained that NYSC members serving in Enugu State have not received their election allowance and would therefore not participate in Saturday’s governorship and state assembly election.
