UK Government Appoints New High Commissioner to Nigeria

The United Kingdom government has appointed Richard Montgomery as the new British High Commissioner to Nigeria.

Montgomery’s appointment was announced in a statement issued by the UK government.

He is expected to begin his new role in April 2023.

The High Commissioner will take over from Catriona Laing who has been the UK’s representative in Nigeria since 2018.

CEAN Realizes ₦278 million in Ticket Sales

The Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, CEAN, has realized ₦278 million in ticket sales across cinemas in the month of February, nationwide. National Chairman of the Association, Ope Ajayi, revealed that the cinemas also had 122,295 gross admissions within the period under review. According to Ajayi, Cinemas experienced a drastic decline in sales in February when compared with ₦819 million made in January.
