National Defence College to Partner UAE on National Power

The National Defence College, NDC, of Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to increase the national power of the two countries.

Head of Delegation, Mahdi Alahbabi revealed that the visit was to share knowledge and study how Nigeria conducts its activities to meet its mission, adding that the UAE believed that the armed forces were the instrument for measuring its national power.

Alahbabi said majority of members of his country’s military were civilians in other sectors of government and the private sector.

Also speaking Commandant of Nigeria, Murtala Bashir, said the college develops future strategic leaders within the military, security agencies, strategic government ministries and agencies.

INEC Issues Certificates to Senators Elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has issued Certificates of Return to winners of the February 25, 2023 Senatorial election. INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu made the presentation at the National Collation Centre, Abuja on Tuesday. The elected legislators include 98 out of 109 Senate, and 325 out of 360 House of Representatives seats.
