Oman Opens Airspace to Israeli Airlines

Oman has opened its airspace for Israeli airlines and carriers that meet the civil aviation authority’s requirements.

Reacting, Israel’s foreign minister Eli Cohen, thanked Haitham Al Said for the decision which will shorten flight times to Asia.

Last year Saudi Arabia allowed Israeli airlines to use its airspace but because Omani airspace was closed, Israeli carriers could not use the route to fly to Asia.

Israel and Oman have no diplomatic relations, but the Gulf state seemed to have been less reluctant in publicizing its relations with Israel.

NAPTIP Reveals Number of Rescued Traffic Victims

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, has revealed that at least 2,743 trafficked victims have been rescued.
