Senate Task INEC on Credible Polls

The Senate has the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure that the conduct of the polls would be acceptable to a greater majority of Nigerians.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, stated that INEC would not be excused for failure to be credible in the conduct of the forthcoming general elections.

Lawan disclosed that the funds and materials required for seamless elections have been provided by the executive in partnership with the legislature.

The Senate President, therefore, urged Nigerians to leverage the window of collection of Permanent Voters Cards, to enable participate in the general elections.
