Award winning singer, Kizz Daniel was presented a plaque by Boomplay, after amassing 500 million streams on the platform.
The plaque was presented to Daniel by Boomplay’s Director of Artist & Media Relations, Tosin Sorinola, at his sold-out Afroclassic 2022 show in Lagos state.
Earlier in April 2022, Boomplay announced that the singer became the first artist to hit 100,000,000 project-based streams in less than six months with his fourth studio project “Barnabas EP.
Venus Williams has been awarded a wildcard to compete in January's Australian Open at the age of 42. Williams will be back in Melbourne 25 years after her debut in the tournament, which begins on 16 January. She won just three matches in 13 tournaments last season but is yet to show any inclination to follow her sister Serena into retirement.
