Anambra Government Rescue Teenager

Anambra State government has rescued a 13-year-old girl who recently delivered a baby.

The spokesperson for state ministry of women and children’s welfare, Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, revealed that the girl was rescued from her guardian and kept in safer custody.

According to Ikeanyionwu, the teenage girl was put in the family way by her guardian, whom she identified simply as Sunday.

She noted that Sunday, who impregnated the teenager, was arrested on Sunday night by the team from the ministry and handed over to the police.
