The Independent National Electoral Commission will today meet with the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, the service chiefs and the heads of all relevant paramilitary agencies.

A statement issued by the National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, revealed that this comes against the backdrop of Thursday’s twin attacks on the office of the Commission in Ogun and Osun states.

The statement noted that INEC convened the emergency meeting to discuss the rising insecurity and attacks on its offices, election materials and party supporters and the strategies to contain it.

It expressed worry over the simultaneous attacks as it has commenced the movement of election materials to its offices nationwide.
