Banks Generate N740.88billion Interest Income

The top five banks in Nigeria generated the sum of N740.88 billion as interest income in the third quarter of 2022.

This represents a 35.9% increase from N545.21 billion recorded in the comparable period of 2021.

Interest incomes are revenue earned by banks from lending money to other entities.

President Buhari to Depart Nigeria for London

President Muhammadu Buhari will today depart Nigeria for London for routine medical check-up. A statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said Buhari will leave after attending the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo State capital. The statement noted that the President will return to the country in the second week of November, 2022.
