The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has revealed that preliminary registered voters stand at 93.5 million.

Chairman of the Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, made this known at the fourth quarterly consultative meeting with leaders of political parties in Abuja.

Yakubu noted that the figure is preliminary because Section 19(1) and (2) of the Electoral Act 2022 requires the Commission to display the hard copies of the register of voters for each Registration Area and Local Government not later than 90 days to a General Election.

The Chairman added that the Commission will display the physical register at designated centers from 12-25 November 2022.
